Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Schematic. Please read them carefully, by placing an order, you agree to all of them.
1. Who we are
Schematic ("Schematic", "we", "us", "our") is a website-generation service operated by Brianna Brunner, an individual proprietor based in the United States, doing business as Schematic. You can reach us at support@schematic.work.
Our website at https://schematic.work (the "Site") allows customers to generate, host, and maintain custom websites through a structured intake form, automated build pipeline, and ongoing hosting services.
2. Definitions
- Customer, "you", or "your": the individual or legal entity placing an order through the Site.
- Order: a submission of the Schematic intake form, identified by a unique order ID (e.g.
SW-…). - Brief: the structured information you submit through the form, including business details, sitemap, copy, media, integrations, and logistics.
- Build: the static website generated from your Brief by our automated system.
- Tier: the package selected at order time, Free, Schematic, or Schematic Studio.
- Add-on: an optional one-time or recurring service purchased alongside an Order (logo design, copywriting assist, hosting, domain registration, extra regeneration).
- Regeneration: a single full re-run of your Brief with updated input, producing a new Build.
- Hosted Site: a Build for which you have an active Schematic Hosted subscription.
3. Eligibility & account
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to place an Order. By submitting the form, you represent that you are. Schematic is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly accept Orders from minors. See our Privacy Policy for our position on children's data.
You may be asked to authenticate via email magic link to place certain Orders. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information about yourself and your business, and to keep that information up to date.
One free Order per individual or business is permitted. Repeat free submissions from the same person, business, or IP address may be refused or removed at our discretion.
4. The services
4.1 Tiers
Schematic offers three Tiers at the prices and specifications listed on our pricing page:
- Free, a single-page site, generated in approximately five minutes, deployed to a
schematic.worksubdomain with a "Built with Schematic" footer that may not be removed. One free regeneration is included. - Schematic, a five-page site delivered within twenty-four (24) hours of payment, with one free regeneration included.
- Schematic Studio, a twenty-page site delivered within forty-eight (48) hours of payment, built using a multi-pass design pipeline, with one free regeneration included.
Page limits apply to top-level pages. Subpages and the auto-included Terms and Privacy pages do not count toward the limit.
4.2 Universal deliverables
Every Build, regardless of Tier, includes: a premium-quality custom design and bespoke layouts; baseline SEO (meta tags, Open Graph tags, JSON-LD structured data, sitemap, robots.txt); a GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner; auto-included Terms and Privacy pages templated for your business; a contact form forwarded through Schematic's hosted endpoint; bot protection via Cloudflare Turnstile; basic visitor analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics; full responsiveness; and a target accessibility level of WCAG 2.1 AA. Specific implementations and skill bundles available at any time may evolve as we improve the platform; the listed deliverables represent the floor.
4.3 Add-ons
Add-ons are optional. Pricing and recurrence are as displayed at order time. Recurring add-ons (Schematic Hosted, Domain Registration) are billed by the period stated and renew automatically until canceled. One-time add-ons (Logo Design, Copywriting Assist, Extra Regeneration) are billed once.
5. Pricing & payment
5.1 Currency & processor
All prices are listed in United States Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). By submitting payment information, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Schematic does not see, store, or transmit your full card number, Stripe handles those details directly.
5.2 One-time charges
One-time setup fees and one-time add-ons are charged at order time via a Stripe Payment Link. We do not begin work on a paid Order until payment is received and confirmed by Stripe.
5.3 Recurring subscriptions
Recurring add-ons (Schematic Hosted at $20/month, Domain Registration at $20/year) are charged via Stripe subscriptions. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method until canceled. Failed renewal payments may result in your Hosted Site or domain forwarding being suspended after a reasonable grace period.
5.4 Tier upgrades
If you choose to upgrade from Schematic to Schematic Studio while still on the same Order, you pay only the price difference between the Tiers at the time of upgrade. Add-on prices are not retroactively changed.
5.5 Taxes
You are responsible for all taxes, levies, and duties imposed by taxing authorities related to your Order. Where we are required by law to collect tax, it will be added at checkout.
6. Order process & turnaround
When you submit the form and complete payment (where applicable), we generate a unique order ID and email you a confirmation. We then begin the Build using the Brief you submitted, our skill library, and our model-driven pipeline.
Turnaround estimates listed on the pricing page are typical, not guaranteed. We will email you a preview link once your Build is complete. Holidays, abnormal infrastructure events, and unusually large or unclear Briefs may extend turnaround. If we anticipate a delay greater than fifty percent (50%) of the listed window, we will email you proactively.
If your Brief is incomplete (for example, you select "send copy later" or do not provide required brand information), the Build clock begins when you supply the missing input.
7. Revisions & regenerations
Each paid Build includes one (1) complimentary regeneration, a full re-run of your Brief with updated input. To request it, you submit a brief change request at the URL provided in your delivery email. We will redeliver within the original Tier turnaround window.
Additional regenerations are available at the price listed for the "Extra regeneration" add-on, currently $10 each, billed one-time.
Customers with an active Schematic Hosted subscription may also make unlimited copy and image edits via the /admin/ CMS panel of their site. Those edits are immediate, do not consume a regeneration, and do not require involvement from us.
Free Tier orders are eligible for one regeneration. After that, additional regenerations are subject to the per-regeneration fee or upgrading to a paid Tier.
8. Schematic Hosted
Schematic Hosted is a recurring add-on that includes: deployment to a managed Cloudflare Pages backend; SSL certificates; the /admin/ CMS panel for editing copy, images, and (where applicable) listings or galleries; chat-based support; and routine availability monitoring. Hosting is currently $20 per month, prepaid, with no setup fee.
You may cancel Hosted at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period, there is no proration of unused days. After cancellation, your site is taken offline within seven (7) days unless you have made other arrangements (for example, exporting the static files for self-hosting).
We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep Hosted Sites available but do not offer a uptime SLA. Cloudflare's published service availability is the practical floor of what we can promise.
You may export the static build of your Hosted Site at any time, in HTML/CSS/JS form, by emailing support@schematic.work. Schematic retains no obligation to reformat the site for arbitrary other hosts, but the exported files are standard static assets and will run on any web server.
9. Domain registration
The Domain Registration add-on registers a domain on your behalf with a third-party registrar (currently Cloudflare Registrar) and points DNS at your Hosted Site. You authorize us to act as your registrant agent for the limited purpose of completing this registration and managing DNS records during the term of your subscription.
You are the beneficial owner of the domain. Upon written request, we will transfer registrant ownership to you at any time, subject to the registrar's normal transfer process and any fees the registrar imposes. If you cancel Domain Registration without transferring the domain to your own registrar account, the domain will be allowed to lapse at its next renewal date.
Domain registration is $20 per year, prepaid annually. ICANN, registry, and TLD-specific fees are included in that price for the gTLDs we currently support.
10. Ownership & intellectual property
10.1 Your Build
Upon delivery of your Build and full payment of any one-time fees, you receive a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute the customer-facing files of your Build (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, copy, and configuration) for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. For Schematic and Schematic Studio Tier paid Builds, this license is exclusive to you with respect to the customer-facing assets, except for components that are themselves derived from open-source libraries, public templates, or third-party assets.
10.2 Schematic's retained rights
Schematic retains all right, title, and interest in:
- The Schematic platform, intake form, build pipeline, skill library, master prompts, design system tokens, and other underlying tooling.
- The Schematic name, logo, and brand.
- Generic, reusable patterns, components, and code that are not specific to your business.
- Any improvements to the platform that arise from servicing your Order, provided they do not include your confidential information.
You receive no license to the Schematic platform itself. Re-selling Schematic-as-a-service to third parties, white-labeling our pipeline, or using the platform to build sites for clients without an active applicable agreement is not permitted.
10.3 Free Tier branded footer
Free Tier Builds carry a "Built with Schematic" footer that may not be removed, modified, or visually obscured for as long as the Build is hosted on a schematic.work subdomain. Removing or altering it constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in the site being taken down.
11. Your content & license to us
The Brief and any text, images, logos, links, or other materials you submit ("Customer Content") remain your property. By submitting Customer Content, you grant Schematic a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, display, and incorporate that content into your Build, and to use it as reasonably necessary to provide and support the services. This license terminates when we no longer reasonably need the content for those purposes.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit Customer Content and that the Customer Content does not infringe the rights of any third party (including copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights). If you submit content you do not own, you are responsible for the consequences.
We may anonymize and aggregate non-personal data about Orders to improve the platform (e.g., counting how often a particular aesthetic is selected). Anonymized aggregates do not identify you or your business and are not "Customer Content" for purposes of these Terms.
12. AI-generated content
Schematic uses large language models, currently those provided by Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), to assemble and produce your Build. Your Brief is sent to Anthropic for that purpose. Anthropic acts as our sub-processor; their treatment of your data is governed by the agreement between Schematic and Anthropic and by Anthropic's published terms.
You acknowledge that AI-generated output is not perfect. We test and review every Build before delivery, but you are responsible for reviewing copy, claims, and any factual statements before publishing your site. We disclaim any responsibility for inaccuracies in AI-generated content that you publish without reviewing.
If your Build's design or copy contains material that, despite our efforts, infringes a third party's copyright, you may submit a takedown request through the process described in Section 23. We will replace or remove the offending material promptly.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Schematic, your Build, or any related service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Sell, distribute, or promote: illegal goods or services; firearms or explosives where prohibited; controlled substances; counterfeit goods; or sexually explicit content involving minors.
- Promote violence, hatred, or discrimination on the basis of a protected characteristic.
- Distribute malware, run a phishing operation, or impersonate any person or business other than your own.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, run a spam operation, or use the contact form forwarder for non-transactional marketing.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape Schematic's pipeline or platform.
- Re-sell access to the platform or use it to provide a competing service.
We may, at our sole discretion, refuse to start, pause, or terminate any Order that we reasonably believe violates this section, and we may take down any Hosted Site that does. Where the violation is curable, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to cure before terminating.
14. Third-party services
Schematic relies on third-party providers, including without limitation: Anthropic (AI generation), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, Turnstile, Web Analytics, Email Routing, Pages), Netlify (web hosting and serverless functions), and the registrars and SaaS partners required for any add-on integrations you select. These providers operate under their own terms; we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. A current list of our sub-processors is available in our Privacy Policy.
If a third-party provider materially changes terms, raises prices, or becomes unavailable, we may need to migrate to an equivalent provider. We will give Hosted customers reasonable notice of any change that affects them.
15. Refunds & cancellation
15.1 One-time fees
Tier setup fees and one-time add-ons are non-refundable once we have started the Build, except where required by applicable consumer-protection law. If we are unable to deliver a Build that materially conforms to your Brief, and you have given us a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue (which is what your free regeneration is for), we will issue a full refund of the Tier setup fee and any one-time add-ons paid.
"Material conformance" means the Build follows your specified sitemap, hits a recognizable interpretation of your aesthetic and brand inputs, and operates on modern browsers without serious defects. Subjective dissatisfaction with the result, after your free regeneration has been used, is not a basis for a refund.
15.2 Recurring subscriptions
Hosting and Domain Registration subscriptions are non-refundable for the current period at cancellation. You will not be billed for further periods after canceling. We do not pro-rate partial periods.
15.3 Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback before contacting us at support@schematic.work to attempt a resolution is a breach of these Terms. We will provide your full Brief, payment record, and delivery records to the payment network in response to disputed chargebacks.
16. Termination
You may terminate your relationship with Schematic at any time by canceling your subscriptions and ceasing to use the service.
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you (a) materially breach these Terms and fail to cure within seven (7) days of written notice (where curable); (b) become the subject of a petition in bankruptcy or similar proceeding; or (c) use the service in a way that exposes Schematic, our other customers, or third parties to risk of harm or legal liability.
Upon termination, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive, including ownership, payment of accrued fees, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution, will survive.
17. Warranties & disclaimers
Schematic is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that your Build will achieve any particular business outcome, search ranking, conversion rate, or visitor count. We do not warrant that AI-generated copy is free of errors. We do not warrant the availability of third-party providers we depend on.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of certain implied warranties; in those jurisdictions, the foregoing disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Schematic, its operator, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service, regardless of the form of action, is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you have paid to Schematic in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages; in those jurisdictions, the foregoing limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law.
19. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Schematic, its operator, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claim, demand, action, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Customer Content you submit; (b) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law; (c) your products, services, claims, or business operations as conducted on a Build we deliver; or (d) your infringement of any third-party right.
20. Changes to the service or these terms
We may modify the service, including adding, changing, or removing features, at any time. Where a change materially reduces existing functionality of an active Hosted subscription, we will provide reasonable notice and an option to cancel without penalty.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers and posted at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those revisions. If you do not agree, your remedy is to stop using the service.
21. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any judicial proceeding not subject to mandatory arbitration is the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing any claim, the parties will first try in good faith to resolve any dispute by direct negotiation for at least thirty (30) days. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the parties may proceed to litigation as provided above. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or confidentiality.
You and Schematic each waive the right to a jury trial. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Schematic each waive the right to participate in a class action against the other.
22. General provisions
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms or any of your rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Waiver. Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, internet outages, epidemics, governmental orders, and provider-level service failures.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order-specific terms displayed at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and Schematic with respect to the subject matter and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings.
No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not confer rights on any person other than you and Schematic.
