Help · Domains

Point your domain to your Schematic site.

About five minutes. Works for Namecheap and any other registrar (GoDaddy, Google Domains, Porkbun, Cloudflare). You'll need the login to wherever you bought the domain.

Before you start

Make sure you have these two things.

1. Your registrar login (Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.).
2. The DNS values we'll send you in your "site is ready" email. They look like the values in the table below, your real values will be in the email.

Step 01

Log in to your registrar and open the DNS settings.

In Namecheap: Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS.
In GoDaddy: My Products → DNS → Manage Zones.
In most others: look for "DNS," "DNS Records," or "Nameservers."

Step 02

Delete any existing A, CNAME, or URL Redirect records.

New domains often ship with a default "parking" record that points to the registrar's own page. Remove those so they don't fight with the new records you're about to add.

Step 03

Add these two records.

One A record points your bare domain (yourbusiness.com) at our servers. One CNAME record points the www subdomain at the same place. Both come from the email we sent you.

Type Host Value (we'll send the real one) TTL
A @ 75.2.60.5 Automatic
CNAME www yourbusiness.schematic.work. Automatic
Step 04

Save and wait.

DNS changes propagate in 5–30 minutes for most people, occasionally up to a few hours. You don't need to do anything else, we'll issue your SSL certificate automatically once the records resolve.

Step 05

Reply to our email and we'll confirm.

Send us a quick "done" and we'll check that the domain is pointing correctly and that SSL is live. We'll flip your site to your custom domain from our side once everything is green.

Stuck?

Email support@schematic.work with a screenshot of your DNS panel and we'll walk you through it. We point domains all day, there's no question that's "too basic" here.
